350 SMACKDOWN IN PITTSBURGH PA JULY 12

In the first game, you play to see who defends the table. The winner gets to defend the table against new players. Caster Kill is the only mission. If the defender wins he remains at the table. But as you play your force grows weaker due to attrition. For each unit that ends a game with 50% or less of starting of value, then the unit starts the next game with one fewer model. For each unit that ends the game with no models remaining, the unit starts the next game with two fewer models. For each warbeast or warjack that is no longer on the table at the end of the game begins the next game with one point in each branch or column. All penalties are cumulative should the player successfully defends the table once again.

Here is a cool set up using Dwarven Forge, and other elements to make a Pirate's Cove. I think that I see a few repainted Conflix buildings in there, but I'm not sure...

#9 IS GO

Back on 12/5/08 I posted a short list of models I was hoping that Privateer Press would make within the Retribution models. My #9 choice was Dawn Guard, and today Privateer Press published a concept picture of their Dawn Guard. Nice.

I also make a reference back to May last year when I was guessing that Ios would be the next faction. Many of the locals thought I was nuts. But I'm glad I was somewhat right.

May 29th - Call to Arms 2009 The Liberation of Umbrey
Take control of massive warjacks or powerful warbeasts in the latest tour of the worldwide Call to Arms league. Sign up now to join the fray and claim victory over any who would stand in your path.
Leagues will run from Fridays to Thursdays with Friday being the official League Night.
Registration Fee: $8 if you register on or before May 22nd or $10 after.

June 6 - 750 point 2 Caster Mangled Metal/Tooth and Claw
Bring a single list, Warmachine or Hordes. Here’s the catch, your list must have 2 warlocks/warcasters in it and nothing but warjacks or warbeasts. This will be a day of straight-up kill the other guy in a Mangled Metal format (kill both warcasters/locks or all warjacks/beasts and you win). Please note that warcasters must be assigned at least one warjack to control.
The entry fee is $6 if you pre-register or $8 on the day of the event.
Registration starts at noon, dice will roll at 1 pm.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place Coins will be awarded with the possibility of gift certificates if we get enough participation.

Monsterpocalypse Events
May 30 - Kit 4: Ninjutsu Heart Throb
Description
This event is for the Ninjustsu Heart Throb support kit which contains the following figures: Mega Zor-Magna and the Shadow Pteradactix.
Format: Constructed (Open Constructed)
Players bring a force built using the standard force building rules. Figures from any set may be used.
Type: Standard
This is the default Monsterpocalypse game type and most events will use this type. This type is played using 1 monster pair (alpha and hyper forms) 2-12 buildings and 4-15 units. When players roll off for first turn, the player that loses the roll chooses which map (the one they brought or the one their opponent brought) they will be fighting on.

MERCS STRIKE BACK

Caine goes down.

Long story short: Gorten capped Caine. In an interesting twist of fate, Gorten was able to survive an assassination run from Caine and then turn the table with a blast from his shotgun. The picture above is the fuzzy snapshot of the warcaster kill.
